Description

We will explore the largest salt flat in the world, the Uyuni Salt Flat, on a tour that will take us to discover its natural and historical wonders. We will begin our adventure by heading to the Train Cemetery, a fascinating site where we will explore the remains of old locomotives, relics from the railway era that marked Bolivia’s history. Next, we will head to Colchani, a picturesque village where we will learn about the traditional salt extraction process and have the opportunity to purchase local handicrafts.
Following this, we will enter the Uyuni Salt Flat, where we will witness a unique landscape of hexagonal salt formations stretching to the horizon. During our visit, we will enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of the salt flat, surrounded by this one-of-a-kind scenery. Afterward, we will head to Isla Incahuasi, famous for its giant cacti and panoramic views that will take our breath away. In the rainy season, we will experience walking on the water mirror, where the salt flat becomes a perfect reflection of the sky. Finally, we will conclude the tour with the spectacular sunset over the salt flat, one of the most impressive sights we can share, as the colors of the sky blend with the salt horizon. We will return to Uyuni around 7:00 pm, wrapping up a day filled with surreal landscapes and unforgettable moments.
